Kudu Experience

                                        Kudu Feeding

We had been tracking a small pride of lions for around half an hour. They had left the open plains and headed into an area dominated by acacia thickets and tall dry grass then settled to wait for nightfall. We did not expect the game in the area to remain but one large Kudu seemed unimpressed by the pride and continued to feed no more than a hundred meters from the lounging predators. Experience perhaps, possibly he sensed that the cats were not yet ready to hunt.
